1996 - Present Mayor of the City of Brockton, Massachusetts; Mayor Yunits began his first term as Mayor in 1996 and has since been elected to four more two-year terms. After ten years in office he is the longest-serving mayor in the city’s history and has been on a successful mission to revitalize the city through business retention and growth as well as investment in educational priority. During this time, Brockton has experienced an unprecedented turnaround that has attracted national attention.
