Brian J. Mone, a
principal with Mone & Hanyen, Inc., mergers his firm with Commonwealth
Mediation & Conciliation, Inc in 2006 and became the company’s Chief Operating Officer
Brian Mone is a Harvard Law School certified mediator and has successfully mediated a multiple number of complex, multi-party, high stakes cases, including the Rhode Island Station Night Club fire case, the DelValle vs Powers Fasteners, et al, Big Dig tunnel collapse case, the Springfield Diocese sexual abuse cases, the Redemptionist Church of Texas sexual abuse cases, numerous large construction cases including many other Big Dig cases, product liability automobile rollover cases and EIFS cases out of the United States District Court, Eastern District of North Carolina and United States District Court, District of Massachusetts. He has also mediated multi-party toxic tort cases, contract disputes, land takings, employment and compliance cases as well as insurance coverage disputes.
Mr. Mone was a practicing attorney for 23 years in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Mr. Mone tried hundreds of cases in the Superior Courts and the United States District Court of Massachusetts, before judges and juries, on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants in cases stemming from construction site accidents, contractual indemnification claims, premises liability, product liability claims, unfair claim settlement practices, motor vehicle accidents, fires, M.G.L. 93A claims and insurance coverage disputes.
In his career as a mediator he has served as a guest lecturer on mediation and arbitration for the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education program as well as for insurers, plaintiff’s groups and the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association.
